Camp-O-Ree
October 19-21, 2006

Mr. Roope led us on a very successful Camp-O-Ree, where our three patrols competed against many other troops in eight grueling events.

On Thursday we packed the trailer from 5 - 5:30 p.m., so we could leave earlier and get there during daylight.

Friday we met at First United Methodist Church around 5:40 p.m. We left in several cars and arrived at Memorial Park in Sylmar at 6:30 p.m.. We unpacked at our campsite around 7:00 p.m.. We cooked dinner and discussed Saturday's events. We went to bed around 11:00 p.m.

Saturday we got up at 6:00 a.m. to the staff banging metal cans and yelling to wake us up. We made breakfast and went to the Flag Ceremony at 8:00 a.m.. We went back to camp and had 20 minuets before the first of four events. Mr. Merica motivated us by saying, "move with a purpose." We ate lunch and completed the last four events .The eight events where Fire starting, First Aid, Chuck Wagon, Orienteering, Boys Life Cover, Pioneering, Team Building, and Scavenger Hunt. We made dinner and went to the campfire ceremony and awards
