We woke up at 3:30 a. m. and reached the church at 4:00 p.m. We left in two cars by 5 a.m. for Redondo Beach. It was cloudy during the day. We arrived at "Redondo Sport fishing" in Redondo Beach at 5:45 a.m.. We rented fishing poles and bought licenses and left the dock at 7 a.m. Five scouts, two adults. It was a two-hour ride to Catalina on the Spitfire. The boat rocked a lot on the way to Catalina Island and two scouts got sick The rocks and cliffs of Catalina were beautiful. We used squid and live anchovies for bait. The boat was not crowded, since there were about 30 passengers. We bought food from the galley or brought it in bags. Each scout was supportive of each other. The last two stops were the best places to fish. When we caught the fish they were put into burlap bags. The crew cleaned our fish, putting the filets in big plastic bags. We had a smooth ride on the way back to Redondo Beach. During our trip we saw dolphins, a bald eagle, sea lions, and pelicans. We got off the boat at 5:15 p.m., and sat in a bunch of traffic on the 405 before arriving at the church at 6:40 p.m..
