John Burroughs High School through Griffith Park

We met at John Burroughs High School on a brisk, cloudy day. The group met at 8 a.m. and left around 8:45 a.m. for Griffith Park. We biked by the Equestrian Center, Travel Town, and the 5 Freeway. As we were biking in Griffith Park we saw two coyotes In Griffith Park near the top of the hill it was a bit steep, and some of the scouts were tired because they are out of shape. About 10 a.m. Sean's chain broke from the stress of shifting to a lower gear. Lorna Tyndall came to pick him and his dad up and dropped them off at the Burbank Bike Shop. After repairing the chain they finished their route by going to the school then home The rest of the group flew down the hill and had lunch. Kevin had a flat tire that was fixed at the lunch stop and another flat near the soccer fields. They arrived at Burroughs High School at 11:30 am.
